cordless phone

I have a cordless phone with a second phone, the phone is about 6 years old. I cannot get it to ring any longer then 8, if i turn on message bank it only rings 3 times. Do i need to get a later phone. We are in our 70s. so it takes a while to anser.

Can i get a phone with a second phone, that gives me more time to anser& the ring is louder

The ring time of the phone is not determined by the phone but equipment in the exchange.

 

You can change the ring time by dialing *99

Enter the number of seconds you wish the phone to ring before a call is diverted (between 5 and 60 seconds)

Press # and hang up

 

You can get an extension Bell. The link below list what options are available, click on the accessories section.
