outage

Why has my landline and internet been down for over a week and expected to be out until next week . WHEN I called, no explanation or care. It is 2019 and I still do not have NBN in my area and now nothing for over 2 weeks.......Why am I paying for this.....

Did they advise you of any outages or issues in the area? Or do any troubleshooting with you regarding the issue? 

 

If you enter your address here - https://outages.telstra.com.au/ - it will advise if you have any outages in your area if it doesn't identify any outage, below that it will have a troubleshooting tool. If you complete that and then try speaking to support again and provide them that reference number it should allow them to identify further. If this doesn't result in a better outcome, lodging a complaint may be a good option:

Alternatively, the crowd here may be able to help identify or isolate potential issues, so if you are able to advise details of the issue you are having as well as the type of connection you have (ADSL/CABLE) and the type of modem you are using.
