4GX Modem - Hauwei B618 Port Forward

This new 4GX modem is excellent!   Easy setup and super fast service.

How do I port forward on this modem?   Need it to monitor CCTV.

I have followed the instructions and set it up as a virtual server but its still timing out.  I think it is blocked on the network side.

It works fine when I swap back to the older modem.

Testing using CCTV app on phone and also https://canyouseeme.org/

Re: 4GX Modem - Hauwei B618 Port Forward

From my understanding port forwarding isn't going to be possible due to carrier grade NAT on the mobile network.

Re: 4GX Modem - Hauwei B618 Port Forward

Is your older modem a 3G/4G modem or a fixed line modem?

Re: 4GX Modem - Hauwei B618 Port Forward

Just saw this post, so it seems possible.  https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Business-Broadband/4GX-Modem-huawei-B618-23ED-port-forwarding...

Am unsure, but I think I need to:

1) change to a business service

2) request a public IP

3) request ports to be opened
