Hi mjr0551,

Are you saying the existing software on the USB isn't working? What's happening when you try to use it?

Hi Ben,
I have exactly this problem too. The device does not work. The message Unable to detect you NextGtm device is displayed and the light on the device stays blue.

Can you advise the model of the modem that you are trying to download the latest drivers for?

Customers who have a Netgear or Sierra branded device can download the latest drivers from http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/ when they enter the model of their device.

That is quite an old device. I have raised the issue of driver compatibility with these devices and Yosemite.

I will update this thread when I receive a response.

Re: Bigpond 7.2 3G wireless USB modem on Moc OSX 10.10?

Thanks again Shelly.

Yes. I've had the device for many years as a backup for the landline and for use whilst travelling, which I do only occasionally these days.

Look forward to hearing how to get it going again.

I haven't received any further update on this yet. I am still waiting for a response from the manufacturer if they will be rolling out an updated driver for this device.

It's been three weeks since the last update. Has anything happened?

There are no updates for these devices.  It might be time to consider an upgrade to a newer device that can also provide a greater speed, allow multiple devices to connect to it, as well as access 4G if it's in your area.
