Detailed history that actually helps

Answered

Is there any way to see which sites are eating up my internet data? We're supposed to have 3gb a month and usually it's fine, but for the past month, we've put $90 onto the mobile internet because it's just getting eaten.

An excell document that I downloaded just said the destination was "telstra.internet" and that doesn't help at all! I need to know which sites are the ones I should be avoiding, because we don't visit that many in order to save data for when we do need it.

Re: Detailed history that actually helps

ISPs generally do not record the sites you visit, so they wouldn't actually be able to actually tell you what sites you are accessing.

For the most part they are only measuring the size and time that data is traveling through their servers to meet your requests.

Ugh. That really stinks. I'd love to know exactly where the data is going.

Thanks for your help.

It is really a privacy thing... the idea of them being able to record and monitor everything you access is kinda pushing the bounds of them overstepping your privacy.
