Didn't work it out in Google Earth, but added it to QGIS or other GIS programs. Instructions for QGIS (open source free gis software if you don't have it and imho pretty bloody good):
My version using base map from GA's 250k mapset overlaid with Telstra coverage at Coober Pedy:
