I have had a Nighthawk router for three months. It is connected to my computer via Ethernet and works well BUT it is not sending out any wifi signal. I cannot even turn it off to reboot it. The power switch does nothing when pressed and held. What can i do?

Have you tried resetting the modem?
There are several ways to reset the modem. See page 79 and 80 of the manual
Maybe faulty or have corrupted firmware [try updating manually via a connected pc [web address 192.168.1.1 if you have a factory config as delivered from telstra]
make sure you are not using IP passthrough [disables wifi] but is the fastest ethernet routed solution if you dont need wifi
