Prepaid 3G USB & Wifi credit being chewed up by unknown source suddenly. Urgently need help.

Answered

Hi there,

Several months ago I bought a new telstra usb incl. wifi. I use prepaid as it is my personal laptop and I only need it to study & watch a movie or two now and then. I know how much I use and how much it costs, so I always buy enough credit.

A few weeks ago I tried downloading a movie and it used up $180 credit. I don't think anyone can afford to lose that much money in one hit..

I can't download any movies or tv shows/ streaming incl. without losing ALOT of money. Even just browsing & my online course is chewing up the credit.

I'd really like to know why I am losing so much money now... Please help.

Thanks..

Hayley.

Hi hsms93,

It sounds as if you may have your download program running in the background which is eating up your data.

If you are unsure of where the data is going you can contact Prepaid to look into this further for you here
