Telstra Pre-paid 4g USB

I have a white USB and want to know if and how I can connect it to my shared data. I tried to add it to my account under the account settings tab but got an error- The account details you've entered don't match our records.

If you can tell me a little more about this white USB I can assist further. For example, what have you used this USB for in the past, which network did it connect you to, how long ago was it used last etc.
