My data usage on the M1 is also out, I use it with the battery out for rural household internet.
This has been a recurring issue with these devices, I have rebooted and tried with the battery in. No joy.
Also of note, my backup Netgear 790s (pre-paid) which has never dropped data usage before is also reporting "Data usage unavailable at this time".
I have lost heart in trying to get support from Telstra. They usually demand a futile factory reset.
I intend to give it a week to right itself this time before tilting at windmills.
Not the best news but perhaps a comfort to know it is not just our individual devices.
The firmware for the M1 has not been updated since October 2018, but until now has been pretty stable.
