Contract ended

My mobile contract has ended and I would like to start a new contract and upgrade to the Samsung S9+. On my last contract I have loyalty discounts from a case manager because of ongoing mistakes made my Telstra. When I went to start a new contract I was told I wouldn't get these discounts on my new contract this would increase my current monthly bill of $86 for my ($70 plan, device charges and stay connected) to $124 without stay connected. I see this unreasonable and would really like some feedback about this issue??

Typically, discounts that you had are not carried across when you recontract. You get charged what the cost of the plan plus device is (the S9+ being a premium phone, so costs more on top of the base plan cost).
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Pricing is determined by your plan and hardware selection, when choosing a premium handset on a high inclusion plan the bill total may be higher than your current selection.
