There's a dedicated team in Telstra called "Saves", they're the only department that have authority to give customer's the best deals or discounts.
Ring 132200, say "Disconnection" to the automated lady. You'll be put through to the Saves team who'll be able to look at your Account and offer you something to stop you leaving Telstra.
I'd ring between 8am- 9am AEDT, and when you speak to someone ask them if they're in the Saves or Disconnection department, if they're not ask to be transferred to them.
Sorry @Granthki, I made a typing error, it should say the hours between 8am- 9pm.
@Kevin_Hutch, yes it pays to keep pushing. In most cases you can get a better deal....doesn't always work but it's worth a try
