Downgrade expired plan

My plan term has expired and I wish to downgrade to a lesser plan, as my usage does not require a plan this big. How can I do this online or thru Telstra Chat? It says in the 24x7 app to contact Chat to discuss plan but will not display a link/s to change costs of contact.

If your plan has expired, then you will be starting a new contract.

Go to https://livechat.telstra.com and select Mobile on a Plan as the first option on the list.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
