My contract ends in a week and just wondering what happens when it finishes? I am looking to get a new phone and new number when it ends.

It all depends, do you want a Post Paid plan for 24 months?, or do you want to buy a Phone out right?

We’ve updated Telstra My Account so you can now find out information about Early terminations of contracts (ETC) and the contract end date in My Account. This is only just the start of a new phase of ETC related information that will be available to customers on a Self Serve basis to help them find the information they need at the click of a button.

I have an iPhone 4 at the moment and want to get a post paid iPhone 5S for 24 months

You could go to your nearest Telstra Shop and get one.

 

Or ring Telstra on 13 2200 and organise one.

 

Or click the link in my last post and get it online.
