International Roaming for Emergencies

Answered

Hi. I'll be travelling to Paris early next year. As I'll be alone, for safety I'd like to have the option to make any emergency calls if need be off of my mobile. I have 2 questions:

- Does it cost anything to receive calls from Australia while I'm traveling in Paris?

- is there an option to set international roaming for emergencies only?

I'll mainly be relying on WiFi otherwise.

Thank you for your help ☺️

Re: International Roaming for Emergencies

For France, the costs are (you can also use the International Daypass $10 each day that you use your phone on the network):

You can't set your phone to emergency calling only. Also, remember, in an emergency, call 112 (the European equivalent of 000).

FRANCE

Make and receive a call $2.50 per minute
Send SMS 75c
Receive SMS Free
Data $3.00 per MB
charged per KB
Send MMS Standard charges*
+ $3.00 per MB
Receive MMS $3.00 per MB
MessageBank® $2.50 per minute
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
