Hello I have spoken with a telstra customer service op about making calls from overseas. She advised, that I should cancel "Data messages" that may come to my mobile, while I am overseas, as this may prove costly.She was unable to locate on her computer the manual for the above phone to assist me. I have the manual and unfortunately cannot locate the directions! Is it the same as DATA CHANNEL ACTIVE(GPRS)?This is mentioned on page 6 of manual. It shows as 2 arrows parallel to each other on the display screen top left. Even if it is, I am still  at a loss as to how to cancel this service.Can anyone advise how to cancel this service?Thank you. Cheers .

Hi,

 

Data can be barred from the account side to ensure you don't use data whilst overseas. You can simply contact our mobiles area on 13 22 00 if in Australia to have your data barred for when you are overseas.

 

If you are already overseas you can contact us on +61 439 125 109
