Mobile plan and end of contract

Answered

Hi,

Just wondering what the go is with the ending of a 24mo contract and handset charge.

My plan was for $95 and included the iPhone 5s 8gb (handset cost was $22 + gst / mo).

Now that the contract has ended, should the handset charge come off, therefore reducing my plan to $70ish??

Just been on the chat and the fellow couldn't see my view - why would I pay $95 to only receive 8gb of data????

TIA

Re: Mobile plan and end of contract

If it was a $95 plan with $0 mobile repayment (when the handset is fully include) then it would stay $95 becuase that is the plan selected, if it was a $75 plan with $20 Mobile Repayment it would drop back to $75 becuase that is the base plan in that case. It drops to the base plan minus any MRO/DPC

Hi Cosden,

Yes, the handset price will drop off and you'll then just pay for the plan charge.

I would recommend that you have a look at the link below. As you now own the handset, you'll be able to go onto a BYO plan (12 month contract, but cheaper than what you'll be paying and includes more Data, than if you don't change), or a Casual Sim only plan.
