A few days ago, have been having trouble with 5GHz downloading at 0.1kbps... pretty much non functional.
The router is within 3m of a Mac and a PS4 and can only use 2.4GHz downloading at 26mbps.
Anyone have a clue as to why the 5GHz is down?

Did this only start happening recently or after any significant changes to your network or devices such as a firmware or system updates. Are all 5 Ghz devices operating sub expected par speeds? It may be router dependant, setup or interference from other routers. Out of interest, what is your Brand and Model Number?
If it is a 802.11ac Single User-MIMO or Multi-User MIMO based unit, do you broadcast both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands separately or does connection occur to a common name? If it is a modern Telstra Router Gen 2 (MU-MIMO), impressive high speed specifications with two Wi-Fi Chips with combined AC3100 speed support (according to Whirlpool), both Gen 2 models have the band steering function. If you haven't done so to date, try turning that feature OFF, so that you can see both SSIDs and lock respective devices to their respective preferred frequency bands.
This may enhance your speed throughput. If it doesn't, and not sure from your post how your current connections are made - if your Mac and PS4 are 3m away from your Router and it has Gigabit LAN ports, you may be better off using a 3-5m LAN cable for these devices which can operate up to 1000 Mbps, far superior to any Wi-Fi connection for these devices.
If your Router is an early 802.11a/b/g/n based unit, its 'a' support of 5Ghz is limited to theoretical but mainly unreachable max of 54 Mbps. Later on, the 'a' got dropped in some Routers to support 2.4Ghz 802.11 b/g/n only. Subject to how the Router has been manufactured, 802.11ac Routers can also be backward compatible to 802.11 a/b/g/n Routers, so in theory a connection could occur to the 'a' 5 Ghz at a point in time but reasonably unlikely.
