I have HFC Cable NBN. ARRIS  CM8200 should the orange light on the back be flashing?

It will flash intermittently..... but not continuously.

Thank you for replying Professor. Mine flashes continuosly. I am also experiencing dropouts and thought the two may be related.

The back light flashes during data transmission. If data is being transmitted clntinuously then light will flash continuously.

The lights on the front of the modem would give a better indication of a NBN link fault. If these lights are continuously flashing it would indicate a problem with the NBN liink.

If you are experiencing dropouts lodge a fault with Telstra NBN assurance.

All 4 green LEDs on the

front should remain solid to ensure no dropouts.
