Blue solid light on smart modem no green

Answered
My new smart modem only shows blue solid light. Is that because NBN technician is yet to come and hook us up next week. Should this stay blue until then.

Appreciate your patience in this. Was the 4G backup originally faster, then dropped substantially a week after you started? 

Have you received an SMS stating that you need to re-connect to the fixed connection again? 

Sounds like perhaps the backup has timed out waiting for that technician. If so, it's unlikely to improve until he gets the fixed connection installed. - Matthew.

If you were already on ADSL with Telstra and the blue light is on that means your ADSL connection has gone down.

Have you checked if there's a general fault in your area?

If this is a new connection it will stay blue indicating modem is in 4G backup mode.
If you are on ADSL and are transferring to NBN then light should be green and WAN / DSL and Online light on back off modem should be green.
On 4 G backup speed is limited to 6 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up

We are on ADSL and transfering to NBN but technician is out night week to hook us up???? Light still blue and internet is painfully slow now. Have reset modem a couple of times. Thanks for response..

Yes it was working well on blue light then got slower. however 4 hours later the light did turn green and modem no longer works at all. We have taken it out and replaced with old modem and will wait for technician
