Does Telstra Support BYO Modems for NBN?

Answered

Hi, I'm looking at getting NBN set up at my new place and was wondering if Telstra allows customers to user their own modems or if you are required to use the modem provided? I haven't found a modem as of yet so just want to check for future purposes.

Thanks! Smiley Happy

Yes you can use your own modem to connect to a Telstra NBN service but if you need a phone you will still need a Telstra modem to act as VOIP ATA connected to a LAN port on your third party modem.
