Help need to setup custom Telstra IP WAN profile on an Aircard 320u (Telstra) USB device
Aircard 320u (Telstra)
I'm trying to setup a custom Telstra IP WAN profile on an Aircard 320u (Telstra) USB device using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, version 10.0.17134 build 17134 on an HP ProBook 450 G4 laptop.
I’ve downloaded & installed the following:
AirCard Watcher B3507 (Win7/Win8 only)
Watcher B3507 patch (Watcher must be installed before running the patch)
I’ve tried to follow the instructions set out in
Telstra IP WAN Profile Setup extracted from the Netgear web site.
After following these instructions setting up the profile, when using the AirCard Watcher to connect to our Terminal Server (“TS”) with Remote Desktop Connection (.rdp) it appears the APN profile set up for this purpose is not being applied as the default profile, instead the “normal” Telstra profile with APN telstra.internet is appearing to be used with the result being failure to connect to the TS.
The solution was to use AirCard Watcher to save the APN profile then set Windows 10 to manage the connection using the Cellular option. 2 similar laptops were successfully configured with this method.
I must be missing something which given my very limited skill is entirely possible. However I’ve repeated the process so many times now I fear I’m now simply confirming Einstein’s view on insanity. I should be grateful to receive help.
