Mymodem gen 2

I recently purchased a device that can be connected through my phone over the Wi-Fi but it requires a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi connection. I was wondering if there is a way to separate the 2.4 and 5 ghz signals as I am unable to connect  when they are merged

Re: Mymodem gen 2

If you disable band steering in the 2.4 GHz WiFi settings -5G will be added to the end of the 5GHz WiFi SSID. You will then have a separate SSID for each band.
