NBN connection box

So, I understand NBN needs to install the NBN connection box, but who arranges for this to happen? On their website (as with Telstra), my home is apparently "NBN ready": I have ordered a telstra plan, and my new telstra modem has been sent, but there is nothing to connect it to. I am switching over from cable broadband, so there is a coaxial cable coming into the house, but that's it. I'm hoping there's a way to get this sorted out without having to waste half an hour on hold. Any suggestions?

Re: NBN connection box

If you are getting NBN HFC the NBN connection will use your exiting coax  cable. All you will require is NBN NCD which will connect to your existing cable wall plate.

Re: NBN connection box

Telstra should arrange for NBN to supply a NCD so you will have to contact Telstra to arrange this and also a external connection box.
