I bought netgear nighthawk M1 model mr1100 serial number is 4sc275n000b91 , I bought it online from a website and they said it’s unlocked but unfortunately I got this problem!

please I need your help how can I solve it?!

 

the version of the device is NTG9X50C_10.12.02.01

 

is this the last version or there is update after that?

 

I tried many times to check out for updates but I couldn’t 

 

please help me

I had the very same problem with "detecting service" screen on my Telstra.apn Nighthawk, but from a later version NTG9X50C_10.25.01.00. This was eventually resolved late April by applying NTG9X50C_10.25.01.01 update made availabe on this link: Why-can-t-I-see-data-usage-on-my-Telstra-Nighthawk-M1.

Being concerned that this might not be the right one for an overseas connection, I found this thread on the Netgear Community Forum that covers updates from NTG9X50C_10.12.02.01 for an overseas connection and points to the above mentioned update page: Can-t-Update-firmware-of-my-Netgear-MR1100/m-p/1565941

There are some other threads when searching for NTG9X50C_10.12.02.01 that also refer to problems with updates from that version.

In the modems GUI, go to Settings > Advanced > Cellular

Check if there are any APN settings there. For Telstra you should have:

APN: telstra.internet
PDP: IPV4
PDP Roaming: IPV4
Authentication: none

my SIM card is STC, its a Saudi company and this the APN I put

 

but still (detecting service) and no internet

Where did you get the nighthawk from?

Is this service in Australia?

Its from China and it’s unlocked as you see.

 

 I’m from Saudi Arabia and the SIM from STC, it’s our local telecom company .

 

as the description of the router in this website the nighthawk m1 is unlocked so what is the problem with this case?

Is it a data only SIM or phone and data?

It a tough call as to what the issue is as I don't know much about the mobile network in Saudi Arabia or the carrier's there. Have you confirmed the APN settings with the carrier?

You could look at factory resetting the device to see if that helps and I've also heard that adding another APN profile and swapping to it and back may work as well but it's a tough call
