Setting up NBN phone using technicolor behind 3rd party router

Answered

We have the Telstra gateway set up as follows

NBN box -> 3rd party ASUS router --> technicolor gateway

our DECT phone can make calls but not receive.  Telstra support phone people have not been able to resolve this, despite hours of testing and restarting.

Are there settings I need to change on the third party router to allow the phone signal through to the technicolor?

I was able to solve this problem by reading some similar posts. I had to change the SIP settings on the Asus router and now all is working properly. Thanks!

Edit ignore as I missed your second post were you already found the solution.
If there are settings for SIP/ALG in the router check that they are turned off.
