TELSTRA SMART MODEM GEN 2

Answered

The light on the front of my modem is always blue, although I have fibre to the premises.

Doesn't a blue light mean it is on mobile ?

The connection works but is slow, How do I connect to fixed ?

Re: TELSTRA SMART MODEM GEN 2

Yes green blue light on front of modem and slow speed does mean modem is on 4G backup.

Is the red WAN port on the modem connected to the UNI-D1 port on the NBN FTTP box? Is the DSL/WAN light on the back of the modem green and the optical light on the NBN FTTP box green?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: TELSTRA SMART MODEM GEN 2

Hi cf4,
So I just put the red cord into UNI-D2 port on the NBN box and restarted the modem and it seems all good.
Thanks for your help. seems I put the cord in the wrong port !
