TG587n v3 wifi coverage

I was given a Technicolor TG587n v3 a couple of years ago as part of nbn install (fibre to the premises) - is this still the best router or is there an upgrade that improves wi-fi coverage?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: TG587n v3 wifi coverage

Both the F@st 5355 and the Telstra Gateway Frontier have better Wifi. Both have dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The TG587n v3 only supports signal band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n

The gateways will provide faster speeds and might give you better coverage but if you want better coverage you are better off using a WiFi range extender to improve the WiFi signal in areas with a weak WiFi signal.
