TG797n router as bridge

We currently have a TG797n router and would like to use it as a bridge to existing network connections. Is this possible?

Our ADSL was so bad that we had to get a 4G Advanced wifi modem, which is great, but I want the router to use the 4G connection and share it with the rest of the office. I have on order a cradle for the 4G which has an ethernet port. Any help would be appreciated.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: TG797n router as bridge

Hey Mvrettas,

the TG587n has very similar firmware, and I have found a few threads on how to bridge those. This link: http://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Modems-Hardware/technicolor-tg587n-v3-bridge/td-p/121596 might be able to help.

Otherwise, our Telstra Platinum Team on 137 587 might be able to assist. You can find more information on them here: http://www.telstra.com.au/connectedhome/enhancements/platinum/
