Telstra air causing galaxy s9 connection issues

My wife and I received our new galaxy s9's on tuesday we set them up as per normal connected to our WiFi all was good.  Then on Wednesday we start to get issues with application being unable to contact to the internet.  We could browse the internet sometimes but most apps couldn't connect.  I also notice that the phones kept wanting to connect to the Telstra air network via our routa, but when you clicked to sign in the page would come up with out anywhere to enter login details.  after two days of trying to sort out the problem with apps connecting I finally uninstalled telstra air and now everything is working fine all apps can now connect to the internet.  the only issue I have now is that I am unable to use the telstra air network unless I reinstall it but then it interferes with my local WiFi again.  is there a fix for this or is there a way to disable telstra air on out t-gateway modem?

The only way to disable Telstra Air is to disable Telstra Air in Telstra My Account for your broadband connection.

It might take 24 hours to turn the Telstra Air SSID off in the Gateway.

 

If you have Telstra Mobile service you can enable Telstra Air for the mobile service.

https://www.telstra.com.au/telstra-air/using-telstra-air

You need to do this using a Web browser on mobile with WiFi turned off.
