USB Sharing on C6300BD Modem - Permissions Issue

Answered

I'm having trouble getting my USB hard drive shared on the network via the C6300BD modem.

I have enabled USB File Sharing.

I can see the hard drive displayed when I access the network folder at 192.168.0.8 which shows the USB HDD (Seagate Backup).

When I try and open that folder (Seagate Backup) I am served with a permissions error

So I'm running out of ideas on how to get this working where I can access the HDD across the network. The NetGear manual for this modem talks about using ReadyShare, which I have tried with no luck.

Have you enabled SMBv1 on the PC? If not enable SMBv1 by

Clicking on Start
Start typing Turn Windows Features On or Off
When “Turn Windows Features On or Off” appears in list of suggestion click on it.
Scroll down to “SMB 1.0 file sharing support” and place a tick in the box.
