telstra moden nbn adsl

Answered

USB on Telstra modem doesn't recognize functioning devices eg USB hub, Pringtre, Seagate esternal Drive all of which work when connected to a computer.

I want a network drive capability which should be available.  Please advise.

Which modem do you have? (Arcadyan (LH1000), Technicolor (TG799, TG800, DJA0230, DJA0231) or Sagemcom  (F@st5355))

Re: telstra moden nbn adsl

If its the Technicolor DJA0231 log into modem and go to Advanced > Content Sharing. IP address of modem is http://192.168.0.1 and password is Telstra. Make sure File server and DLNA server are ticked. You should also see the attached drive. See image below.

Re: telstra moden nbn adsl

thanks for your help...

the thing is - I've done exactly that, but I don't see the drive in the bottom panel  - just 'currently there are no connected devices'

so here I am wondering what I've missed...

Are there settings elsewhere to change first?

How do I test the USB port to see if it works?

Re: telstra moden nbn adsl

  1. There are no other settings. If your drive is compatible it should show. There is a limit of 2 Tera bytes. If a flash drive is not recognised it could be a faulty USB port on the modem. On mine I can connect USB hub with several devices attached. You could try a factory reset of the modem if a flash drive is not recognised.
