Moving house shortly from a property with cable to one that doesn't have cable. Telstra will charge me $89 for the move of account, plus around $240 for a modem for ADSL2 service that will be approximately half as fast as my current cable service. If I want to terminate my current Telstra contract and go with another provider, I need to pay out my contract with Telstra (approx. $177), then pay a set up fee of $79.99 plus a monthly fee of $79.99 (there is no charge for the modem), plus I get unlimited VoIP phone calls included. The service with this provider will be exactly the same as the Telstra ADSL2 service. Can anyone see a reason for me to stay with Telstra, because right now, it looks like a no brainer to me!
