Lead in line

How hard is it to get a lead in line to my house I have been trying for. While and seriously getting feed up with it I keep getting told that I have to get in touch with Telstra to do so which I do but that's where the fun beings I am fed up with being passed from pillar to post and not being able to get a straight answer. ALL i want is for someone to tell me how much it is going to cost to have the trenching done and where do I find a local contractor to do it.

Try calling a local electrician (if they have an ad saying that they are a licensed cabler all the better). They should be able to help you organise the trenching and conduit laying.  Telstra can them come out and run the actual line to the house at that point.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

The team you need to speak to is call the Pre-Provisioning Team and they specialise in helping customers organise lead in work to be arrange prior to applying for a service.

 

You can call them on 1800 895 319 for assistance. This team is available between 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri.

I'm really confused, because we called 1800 895 319 today as we are needing a new lead in line to be organised, and was told that we needed to call our service provider. We have been trying to get this organised for about 6 weeks and keep being given the run around.

If you are signing up with another service provider then they would be the people you'd need to talk to about getting your service setup.

I'm not currently with a service provider. However I have contacted other service providers and they tell me to speak to the contractors, I call the contractors and they say I need to speak to Telstra and around and around and around we go!
