Trying to find the main distribution frame

Answered

One of my tenants is having trouble finding the main distribution frame on the building site. 10 units. Any ideas where she may find it.

Re: Trying to find the main distribution frame

Depends on the site layout, in a Horseshoe complex like I am in its near unit 1, there may not even be an MDF.

Re: Trying to find the main distribution frame

Should tenants / non licensed persons even be touching an MDF?

Short answer no... half the MDF is customer, so any licensed contractor can do it, and there is the Telstra side where you can guarantee Telstra won't let anyone but *their* contractors touch it.

Re: Trying to find the main distribution frame

Thank you all.

The tenant managed to find the main distribution frame by asking her neighbours. She couldn't wait for me to get back with an answer.

But just on a different note, I was told by another client that she was told by the technician, that if he can't find the mdf, that he would charge her!  This was a TMG technician.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help
