We run a business in a small rural area and our internet access is provided by the Booral Exchange.
It has been proposed that ADSL2+ be connected to the exchange. When is ADSL2+ likely to be connected?
Currently the internet is very slow and difficult to use for programs like Skype for conferencing and other business needs.
I know the NBN is meant to be added, but we fear that, as we are on the far edge of the Exchange map, we may not even pick up the wireless signal. ADSL2+ would be much more reliable.
As a side note, I rang Telstra to speak to someone about this and they were very unhelpful and refused to give me information on the Booral exchange without an address, phone number or telstra account number. I didn't see these as necessary for my question as I presume Telstra is aware of their future plans for Exchanges and should be able to pass this on to interested consumers.
