Network for vehical

Purchased a new car.  Within the info setup it says able the create a wifi network for the vehical to allow passengers to access as well as car app updates etc...

Any ideas ?

Sales useless.

Make and model of the car would be helpful.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Have you enable the 4G LTE module by paying a monthly subscription for the onestar network.

 

If 4G LTE is enabled can connect to cars WiFi using instructions at link below.

I didn't think that the Australian version had those options. Updates are usually done via SD card, and you run the Infotainment system via your mobile (Android Auto or Apple Airplay). Similar setup to the Arcadia.

 

OnStar is not available in Australia, it was postponed until at least 2021.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
