I have recently returned home from an overseas trip to Germany, where I had a cover-more global sim card in my phone. For it to work I had to install a new profile. and now that I have returned back to Australia and inserted my Telstra sim, it is saying that it is unable to connect to a mobile data network.
I have reset my phone and reset network settings numerous times, still not working. In general settings there is no heading saying "profile" or "device management" so cannot delete an old profile.
I purchased a replacement sim, hoping that would fix the problem but didn't change anything.
This morning I backed up my phone to iTunes and erased all content and settings off my iPhone, then restored from backup, but is still not connecting to a network.
I have already spent hours on the phone to Telstra but they have no idea what to do, they could only blame it on possible outages in the area.
Is there anything else I can try to get my phone working again?

Another Poster was in a similar situation with that type of SIM, where it seemed to install a 'hidden' profile and he was able to resolve it:
That same thread has a post by another user who was able to use an app called "Apple Configurator 2" to resolve it as well. His post contains a link to a whirlpool topic that discusses it
