The routing will depend on provider of the target site... If you give me a target, I can give you routing from three or more source providers to compare... But for Telstra, it will be from Hobart - I do not have any Telstra connected machine based in Freemantle... The other providers will be AARnet and Microsoft Azure...

Normally it would be through Hong Kong, then the routing will depend on traffic levels. It would normally then hit Italy as the undersea fibre has a landing there, or it could go via the USA and France.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
