The Bigpond Mobile Broadband plans impacted by the change come with free network anti-virus & anti-spam security, a BigPond email address, webmail access and a mailbox quota.  Recently I was advised that if I took up a Mobile Broadband plan that after 12 months it would cost me $79 per year to keep my bigpond email address.  Is this still the case?  If so shouldn't customers be advised of this situation?  At the time I was offerred to go from $39.95 per month to $30 per month for the same amount of data and NO mention was made re the mailbox situation and it was just lucky I found out or in 12 months I'd be left wondering whay my emails had dried up.  Not customer centric at all Telstra

If you have a current service on your account then there shouldn’t be any need to have the paid email. What team were you speaking to? I would suggest speaking to 132200 and say disconnection and they will be able to go over the full details and be able to confirm and if they can help with it.

This thread is a hoot!

I'm on a Home Wireless Broadband Plan (24 months or eternity whichever comes first).

The other bulletins about July 5th - cue Jaws music - aren't so informative/interesting.

Hoping for clarification without interaction over phone or chat.

Hello @Emmasis

Thanks for this article. And thanks for the useful 1800 150 673 phone number.

When the new mobile broadband plans including $89 for 89GB arrived around 24 July, I wanted to move from my Home Wireless $150 for 50GB (+30 GB Bonus).

I called the number and there was no waiting, I was connected straight away to a helpful CSO who switched my plan without any Early Termination Charge, although I still have to pay for 10 months of $14.00 device repayments, in the first new bill.

Once the issues with the USA were

sorted...and ZTE resumed .... it was inevitable that  Telstra would continue as before.
