From 30 April 2019, the Garmin Navigator service will no longer be available from Telstra.

The Garmin Navigator App is no longer available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple Store, and support for the platform will cease on 30 April 2019. From this date, the app will cease to function and navigation capabilities will be unavailable.

A range of alternative apps are available from your device app store, including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Nokia Drive Here, Bing Maps, Whereis and Map Quest. Many smartphones and tablets will come with one of these (or another navigation app) pre-installed.

If you are have a monthly subscription to the Garmin Navigator app, we stopped charging you in January 2019. You won’t need to do anything else, as your subscription will be automatically cancelled and can delete the app from your device.

If you have purchased a 12-month subscription to the Garmin Navigator service, you’ll receive a credit for the months remaining from January 2019. You won’t need to do anything else, as your refund will be automatic, and your subscription will not be renewed. Simply delete the Garmin Navigator app from your device.

Important to note:
Using other navigation alternatives may have purchase fees and will consume included data on your plan. Data charges may apply.

I have been getting charged for this for years and I have never used it! I don’t even remember downloading it. I have been asking for the last 3 years for it to be removed but no one has been able to help me!!!

This app had lost it’s original functionality over almost two years ago and I have been consistently asking for it to be removed from my account for this time. Although I have had confirmation several times that this has been done, it keeps appearing as a cost on my bill. Appalling service from what was once for a brief time,  a competitive and reliable Australian company. Now, compared to other tech and entertainment services, you can’t compete, and again you owe me money on top of all the time I’ve wasted on this issue.

Just like shelby68 I have been charged for this for many years. I have repeatedly called Telstra and asked them to remove this from my billing, each time I've been on the phone for over an hour and have been told it has been removed. It never has been.  I would not be surprised if Telstra have thousands of customers in the same position. I smell a class actions.
