How to setup Direct Debit with the Telstra 24x7 App

Have you ever wanted the peace of mind knowing that your bills are going to be paid automatically? The Telstra 24x7 App makes it easy to setup a direct debit on your account and ensure that your bills are taken care of when they’re due.

 

Open the Telstra 24x7 App, click the menu icon as shown below and press ‘My Bills’

After navigating to the ‘Bill Summary’ page, press ‘Set up direct debit’

From here, you will be able to choose between an ‘Automatic Direct Debit’ which will deduct the total bill amount each month, or a ‘Fixed Direct Debit’ which gives you more flexibility on when and how much you want to pay.

If you’re looking to setup a direct debit for an automatic payment, press ‘Auto direct debit’.

Enter the amount that you want as a capped direct debit amount. If you have a currently overdue invoice, you can opt to pay this now as soon as the direct debit has been finalised.

If you’re looking to setup a direct debit for a fixed amount, press ‘Fixed direct debit’

Here, you can choose how frequently you want a payment to occur (whether that be fortnightly or monthly), as well as the amount and when you want the first payment to be processed.

After completing the details on either of the above options, press ‘Continue’. You will then be taken through to the ‘Payment method’ tab, where you can select which method you wish to use.

Follow the prompts for the payment method you choose and once it’s completed, you will be provided with a confirmation message informing that Direct Debit is setup on your account.
