We’re excited to introduce you to Telstra Plus, our new rewards program for our customers.

Coming soon, you’ll be able to redeem your points towards devices, accessories and more. We’ll be sharing lots more information over the coming weeks, but let’s start by introducing you to Telstra Plus:


Telstra Plus FAQ

What is the new rewards program? What is Telstra Plus?
Telstra Plus is a new program that rewards and recognises customers for being with us. From 14 May 2019, Telstra Plus members can earn points based on their eligible spend. Coming soon, we will launch a Telstra Plus rewards store where members can put their points towards redeeming devices or accessories. Plus, additional benefits will become available over time for customers to access based on their membership tier, so stay tuned for more exciting details to come.

Is Telstra Thanks® still available?              
Telstra Thanks is leaving: Telstra Thanks benefits will be moving to Telstra Plus soon, so provided that you're eligible to join Telstra Plus, you can still enjoy all the Telstra Thanks benefits as long as you enrol in the new rewards program at telstra.com/plus. We'll let you know when Telstra Thanks benefits are ready to move into Telstra Plus. Unfortunately, business customers will not be able to access Telstra Thanks when it ends, but stay tuned for more updates about rewards for our business customers.

Who can enrol/join?     
Anyone over 18 with an active consumer/personal Telstra service who has a Telstra ID can join the program. If you are not the account owner or full authority, you will need to ensure the account owner joins first.

Where can I join?           
Simply visit telstra.com/plus or sign into your My Account or Telstra 24x7 app with your Telstra ID, click on the link to join Telstra Plus, and then follow the instructions.

How do I get a Telstra ID?
First step, you must have a Telstra ID to enrol.If you do, you can either:

  1. Go to id.telstra.com.au/register
  2. Enter your Telstra ID username and password
  3. Agree to the Terms and Conditions of the program

OR

  1. Download the Telstra 24x7 App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Enter your Telstra ID username and password
  3. Agree to the Terms and Conditions

 

If you don't have a Telstra ID, you need to register at id.telstra.com.au/register. It may take up to 24 hours for it to be activated. Then, simply visit telstra.com/plus or sign into your My Account or Telstra 24x7 App with your Telstra ID, click on the link to join Telstra Plus, and then follow the instructions.

Can I join/enrol if I am a Telstra pre-paid customer?       
Yes you can if you are 18+ and have an active pre-paid service and Telstra ID.

Can I join if I am not a Telstra customer?              
No. Only Telstra personal (consumer) customers can join the program.

@ashliem Kudo's to Telstra, this (to me) is a step in the right direction. 

 

The amount of posts I have seen over the years of people complaining of no loyalty program for its customers, well, it's been ALOT :-)

 

So it's great to see that is changing. Time will tell if its actually worth it though as we see poor loyalty programs with Woolworths Rewards, and Flybuys (Although that improved a little when joining up to eBay). Funny thing is though, banks who make the biggest profits offer some of the worse reward programs in the country.

 

One thing I am not sure on, if I have two account can I combine the points when I need, or is this a push to move all accounts to the one account?

We have two accounts in two names and from what I read in the full terms you can register multiple billing accounts to the same account by linking the Telstra ids linked to it. It encourages sharing an account as a family.

@DrQ Trouble with the whole Telstra ID# thing is it discriminates against pensioners/seniors who has never had to worry about a Telstra ID# before, let alone has a computer to register one. There needs to be a support number associated with all this for those people.

“We value all our customers”... except, obviously, small business customers given we are ditching them from the programme.

 

Don’t offer that “stay tuned” nonsense - at least treat us equally until you have whatever alternative it may be available.

Big fail Telstra, I logged in to sign up for this and I see my confirmation email was sent to my Bigpond junk mail, which is super annoying because I normally just use Outlook to check my emails but once a week I have to log into Telstra webmail to check everything it sends to junk and it doesnt matter how many times I mark things as not spam it still sends these emails to junk. I would think an email from Telstra shouldnt be going to junk mail......hmmmmmm

As a Telstra Plus Silver tier customer, I have been granted a $75 Telstra TV Box Office credit. When I try to redeem the credit I get this message "Sorry, Unfortunately, you have no offers associated with your Telstra ID.".
