There’s a new ladder leader again this week, with Storm knocking the Roosters out of the top spot with their 20-4 win against the Eels. Despite winning by a comfortable margin, it wasn’t an easy match for Melbourne, losing three key players mid-match to injury, and left with no reserves on their bench at one point.
After losing five of their last six, the Dragons have now moved up to 4th spot after defeating Wests Tigers 20-10. The loss effectively brings the Tigers’ season to an end, now four points outside the eight with just two games remaining.
Newcastle have broken their three-game losing streak after defeating Penrith 20-12. It wasn’t a strong performance from the Panthers, and while they’ve managed comebacks in their last few matches, they couldn’t hold on against the Knights. The Panthers have now fallen out of the top four, while the Knights remain in 11th.
