This video will show you how to improve your browsers performance by clearing cookies cache and managing your extensions or add-ons.
To clear your cookies open a browser then click on the Three Dots in the top right corner of the screen. (This may differ depending on the browser you're using). After clearing cookies you'll have to log back into any websites that require a login, as the cookies are how the websites identify you.
Click More Tools then Clear Browsing Data. Select a Time Range. For the greatest performance improvement select All Time.
Then choose which data you'd like to clear. Cookies and other site data which is where the bulk of the information is stored and cached images and files will clear the most space on your computer. Click Clear Data.
Extensions and Add-Ons give your web browser extra functionality but if you have too many installed they can slow down your web browsing. By disabling or removing extensions you don't use or recognize you'll be able to further improve your web browsers performance.
In your browser click on the Three Dots then click More Tools then Extensions to see which add-ons you currently have installed.
Select the ones you don't need then disable or delete them by either clicking the Enabled Box or the Rubbish Bin beside it.
You may need to Restart Your Browser for the changes to take effect.
Additionally, Closing Unused Programs and Tabs, Checking your Hard Drive for Errors, Deleting Unwanted Temporary Files and Defragmenting the Disk will also make a difference to the speed of all programs on your computer, not just your web browser.
If you perform these few small housekeeping actions from time to time you should notice an improvement in your browser's performance. For support when you need it visit telstra.com/platinum
