The Wi-Fi connection on my Telstra TV Enhanced Remote isn’t working

If you’re having issues with the Wi-Fi connection on your Telstra TV Enhanced Remote, try these troubleshooting steps:

 

Option 1 – Restart

  • Restart the Telstra TV device by going to Settings > System > Power > System Restart.

  • Once the Telstra TV device has restarted, go to your device settings to pair your remote: Settings > Enhanced Remote > Pair new Enhanced Remote. Follow the on-screen prompts by taking the back cover off the remote and hold down the button for 5 seconds.

 

Option 2 – Factory Reset

  • If restarting the Telstra TV device doesn’t work, you can try performing a factory reset by going to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Factory Reset. Enter in the 4 digit code to complete the factory reset.

  • You will then be asked to pair your remote to your Telstra TV device before going through activation.

You can then complete the activation.

Good to remember: A factory reset means you will have to log into your apps again.



Option 3 – Move the Telstra TV device to clear view

If neither of the above steps have resolved the issue, try moving your Telstra TV device to ensure it is clear of any obstructions.

 

This will help ensure the remote can have line of sight to the Telstra TV device so the Infrared (IR) can work to control your Telstra TV.

Note: If the Wi-Fi is not paired, you cannot use voice control.
