Re: APN for ex optus handsets

You would need to update the APN to telstra.wap

Aaah, you need the Spanish setup...Manuel....or was that Manual, always get those two confused. Apparently they're twins.

Welcome to Friday afternoon Smiley Very Happy

You need the following APNs:

telstra.wap

MCC 505

MNC 01

APN Type default,supl,email

APN Protocol IPv4

APN roaming protocol IPv4

telstra.mms

MMSC http://mmsc.telstra.com:8002

MMS proxy 10.1.1.180

MMS port 80

MCC 505

MNC 01

APN type mms

APN Protocol IPv4

APN roaming protocol IPv4

Your next problem. If it is an Optus handset, depending on the Model and age, it may not support 850MHz UMTS (which is very necessary). Optus uses the 900MHz UMTS band.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Re: APN for ex optus handsets

You should be OK. Supports the right 3G bands. A bit limited on the LTE support (no 700MHz), but should be OK in most areas.
