Galaxy Watch LTE SMS issues

Answered

From the Telstra website:

'Subscribing to Telstra One Number lets you connect both devices to our mobile network. This allows the cellular-enabled smart watch to receive calls, texts and data independently of the phone.'

However, my Galaxy Watch 46 mm (LTE) can only receive SMS if the phone is on and connected to the Telstra network (needs wifi or mobile data enabled) but can make calls as a standalone (even when the phone is off). Is there a fix or is this just the way it is? If so, it is certainly not 'independent' of the phone.

Re: Galaxy Watch LTE SMS issues

That is the way the watch works (it says it in all the product documentation from Samsung).
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help
