Mobile phone keeps dropping out

During several phone calls today - my phone kept dropping out.  I could here the caller - but they could not hear me.  I thought it may of been my phone (Samsung S10+) but then my bosses phone did the same this afternoon and she has an Iphone?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you

Re: Mobile phone keeps dropping out

I'm presuming both phoned were in the same location.

Is this a location with previous reliable coverage?

How many bars of signal is usual and has it changed with the current problem?

Do you know the location of the nearest base station?

With the limited information provided, I'm thinking of background interference. Possibly an intermodulation whereby 2 signals combine...usually from a reflection.......and create a 3rd frequency ...which is an intetmodulation product.

If you're near a hospital or somewhere where radio frequency equipment is used... it could also be a neighbour with a laser for example. If you can answer the questions. ... that would assist.

If I have helped you, a "Like" would be appreciated.

If my advice is a solution, please acknowledge it.
