Wi-Fi Calling Samsung S6 Edge+

Wi-Fi calling is no longer working on my Samsung S6 Edge+.  It did work previously, although as I haven't used it for a while I'm not sure when it stopped working - not sure if it is due to a update.  I turn on Wi-Fi calling and it turns blue, but no icon shows on the top bar. I have done a factory reset and this did not help. The area we are in has very limited Telstra service so I am trying to use the Wi-Fi calling through Optus broadband.  My husband has a Samsung J7 Pro and it works fine on his phone.  Any suggestions to get this working would be great.
